The crack smoking mayor of Toronto

Yes, I understand this post has absolutely nothing to do with writing, nor even anything about myself. But I just couldn’t help but share this little gem I came across just a short time back. While it does have to do with politics, I can tell you it transcends political parties and partisan squabbles of all kinds. For what is revealed in this video of the crack smoking mayor of Toronto is something sane people from any party can look at and ask themselves one simple question: how in the world did this guy get elected? Yes, I realize that the quality of our public servants has declined over the years, but really? Really Toronto? This is what you thought would be good for your city?

Anyway, if you have a few minutes, you absolutely must watch this video, or at least enough of the video to catch the infamous “8 second pause”. Trust me, though, the remaining few minutes are filled with just as many jaw-dropping antics from Toronto’s mayor.

I have been watching this and I can’t believe how crazy this guy is. It’s crazier that he won’t leave office! LOL It takes all kinds I guess!

I know, right? It’s hard to believe he ever got into office in the first place, and now he won’t go away! 🙂 How does this sort of thing happen? I guess he kept everything under wraps until he got to be mayor.

I saw this clip a while back and, like you, find it hard to understand how he even got elected. The man is a train wreck about to happen.

I lived in the DC area when the mayor Marion Barry, served 6 months in federal prison after being videotaped smoking crack and he was re-elected! Nothing surprises me anymore.

Ha, love how they put the 8-second pause to the game show ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire.’ That guy’s a piece of work, that’s for sure. Perfect fodder for John Stewart. 🙂

I almost feel bad for him, but after that comment at five minutes, I feel worse for his wife 🙂
